10 finalists of the All-Russian Design Contest «KOD MODY» presented their capsule collections at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia.
The work on the collections began in early August, and although there was very little time for preparation, the young designers managed to do everything on time. Each designer has developed concept capsule collections of five bows. And each of the collections turned out to be a complete story, inspired by specific images and ideas.
«We, of course, expected a large number of applications,» says the project manager Vladislav Yashchuk, «but we did not expect that there are so many talented people in our country who, despite all the difficulties, try themselves in fashion industry. It was not so easy to select 10 finalists out of more than one and a half thousand applications. But it was these 10 people who showed their professionalism and hard work, completing all the tasks of our experts. And it was they who deserved the right to present their works on the main podium of the country. They had very little time, but they managed not only to sew clothes, but also to develop a concept for each exit - not all the big players in the industry can work in such a timeframe.»
Participation in the «KOD MODY» competition became a launching pad for these designers. The world of big fashion saw them, fashion reviewers will now write about this show, and some have even received their first contract for the purchase of capsules. There is still a lot of work ahead for the guys - after all, they will need to release lookbooks, work out a promotion concept and start thinking about their first large collections!
The Star Project team was responsible for organizing the show on a turnkey basis, starting with the development of the concept and preparation of the collections for the catwalk, ending with the visual and administration of the event.
