On September 4-5, 2021, «RUSSIAN WOODSTOCK» music festival was held under the slogan “World.Love.Music”, which brought together not only novice rock bands and masters of the local scene, but also foreign rock performers.
The legendary Woodstock festival was first held in the United States in 1969. The festival lasted from August 15 to 18 and was located on one of the farms in the state of New York. The event was attended by almost half a million people. The Who, Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Joan Baez, Joe Cocker, Jimi Hendrix, Grateful Dead, Ravi Shankar, Carlos Santana and many others performed on the stage of the festival.
«Russian Woodstock» became an adaptation of a foreign festival in Russia and was held this year for the third time on a new scale. During both days, more than 70 performers and musical groups from Russia, Cuba, USA, Ireland, Israel and Bulgaria performed at the Green Theater and at the VDNKh Palace of Culture. Training vocal master classes and performances by children's groups representing the Igor Sandler Foundation for the Support of Gifted Children and Youth were also held.
Star Project was responsible for the technical equipment and overall organization of the event.
